Marley the Hero Dog, Saves Owner from Rattlesnake, Survives Two Bites
Good news! Marley, a 7 year old Labrador retriever, who saved his owner from a rattlesnake has recovered from two bites to his tongue and neck. Marley’s owner, Alex Loredo, came within a foot of a rattlesnake that was perched under an outdoor table at their house in San Diego. Before the snake was able to strike, Marley ran outside and pushed Alex away while also being struck by two bites himself.
Alex then rushed Marley to the hospital where they administered 4 doses of antivenom and kept him for a few days to monitor his recovery. After two weeks, Marley is back to his normal self and has completely recovered from the attack. For the hero dog, a GoFundMe campaign has already raised over $11,000 of its original $8,000 goal to help pay for the medical bills and expenses.
For his heroics, Alex has promised to get Marley plenty of burgers – his favorite food.
