Good news! Norway became the first country in the world to sell more electric cars than gas-powered cars in 2020. Electric car sales ended the year on a high note with a whopping 66.7% share of the market in December. Norway seeks to become the first nation to completely end the sale of gasoline and diesel cars by 2025.

Volkswagen and Audi were the most purchased electric vehicle last year in the country, replacing Tesla – the leader from 2019.

Norway expects to have a 65% electric vehicle market share in 2021 and believes they are on track for their 100% goal by 2025.
